Everyone knows that bigger baits equal biggger fish. Everyone knows that suspending a bait under a float or bobber is one of the easiest ways to catch a fish, and many of us caught our first fish this way. The Lindy Big Fish Slider gives you the option to put a big bait out there and fish it simple. I use these over a 1/2 to 1 oz egg sinker with 6-8 in baitfish for catfish. I did add a 1/4 in strip of reflective tape around the top to improve night time visibility. Out of the box, this product is solid and effective. You won't be disappointed.
I have used this particular size slip bobber with great success going after catfish with both dead bait and common shiners. I use a 5/8 oz. Mojo Carolina slider sinker right below it to weight it down and make it ride at a perfect height. Just the top third of the bobber sticks above water. The sinker butts up against a regular swivel that I have my leader and hook also tied to. Medium size channel cats (2-3 lbs.) will usually pull this easy-to-see bobber down when they grab the bait and take it for a ride without any hesitation. The 5/8 oz weight mentioned here also makes for easy long distance casting with this rig even with a stiff catfishing pole. I really like these bobbers.
