This 1-pound anchor is only 2-1/4" x 8" when closed, but opens up to an 11" diameter. It will lock open or closed and has no rough or sharp edges to damage your float tube. Load tested to 200 pounds, it comes with 20' anchor line.
Bought this for my fishing kayak, works well on both our kayaks and our canoe. Light weight, stores easy. The line that comes with it is a bit light but it keeps storage size down. Good deal for the money.
Like the fold up anchor . Needs a lock up for the folded position is all. Just put an old sock & a rubber band on it to keep it folded. Looks goofy but it works for now .
This is the first float tube anchor that I have ever used. When I received it, one of the anchor arms had a loose rivet. It was an easy fix to tighten this loose rivet. Not a big deal at all, easier to fix than to return it! This little anchor takes up very little room, is lightweight, and has no trouble holding me in my inflatable pontoon as long as there is structure on the bottom to grab.
Easy to use. It's only drawback is that it could stand to be a little heavier. It took some time to grab the bottom, but it held great when it caught. Make sure you tie a secure knot on both ends of the rope.
