I have to agree with everyone else, this thing rocks!
Not only does it solve the problem of a vest full of loose tag ends and discarded tippet material tangling up with everything else you're carrying( and snagging on things when you try to remove them from your vest of chest pack) but it will also help keep your favorite river or stream free from monofilament litter! As another reviewer said, it's so light you don't know it's there - but it's worth every penny when you come across discarded line that some "sportsman" has left for everyone else to deal with. Just put a bit of it inside the cylinder and spin the knob and BOOYAH! NO MORE TRASH LINE on the river banks! I've been flyfishing for over 20 years and bass fishing for longer than that, and this is literally the best gadget I've ever used. What a genius that thought this thing up! Get one. You will never want to be without it, I promise you! Tight lines and fat trout, all.

The monoMaster is a great idea. From now on I won"t have to reserve a pocket just for stuffing various sized pieces of mono into just to have them slip out and disappear in the grass or bushes.

This thing works as advertised, and makes it easy to not litter with tag ends. Also, when i find other peoples' birdsnests and line litter, it is easy to collect it. If i am getting skunked, at least i leave a little bit of stream bank cleaner than i found it.
Light, out of the way, nice neutral color.
