Vanes to Feathers

In changing a set of arrows and making new ones, I used Cabela's shield cut feathers. I found these very consistant and easy to use. Color consistancy was excellent also.

The Gateway Left wing/sheild cut feathers were exactly what I wanted. The quality was excellent and they were easy to manage when setting them on the arrow shafts.

SHIELD CUT FEATHERS

I've always preferred feathers to vanes with my compound bows. parabolic feathers were the most available. I always wanted to try the shield cut, glad that I did. I really like the flight of the arrow better with these. They also seem to be a little more consistent or forgiving in flght. I shoot right handed but use left helical fletching which seems to stabilize any broadhead I choose to use.
