E-Z Fletch accepts both feathers and vanes, and automatically adjusts to any arrow size. Compact size (only 10-1/2" long and 8 ozs.) lets you keep it in your backpack or bow case for instant arrow repair. Perfectly applies all three vanes or feathers from 2-1/4" to 5" at the same time. Available: Right Helical, Straight.
I've used a variety of fletching tools including the top-of-the-line metal ones. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Arizona E-Z Fletch stacks up to any of them. It quickly, easily, and precisely fletched my arrows. It worked good enough that I bought one for both my aluminum arrows and then another for my carbon arrows.
I had been using a Bohning jig for years, but decided 2 yrs ago to try out an EZ fletch, and boy did it change my life! (At least how I fletch arrows!)
It's actually very easy to use once you get the hang of it (i.e. fold the arms closed, install the cap, THEN release the spring#.
For the fastest results if you're fletching a LOT of arrows, I recommend buying 2, if not 3 of them. On a good day, with my hands constantly moving, I can keep 3 of them busy. On a slow day, I keep up with 2. Basically, with two of them, I can fletch one, set aside to dry, then fletch the 2nd one, and by then, goat tuff or Fletch-tite has dried well enough to take the 1st arrow out and go back to the first one. On days I'm rolling them fast, I can go faster than the glue dries, so I needed a 3rd EZ fletch to keep up with me.
Compared to normal jigs that do ONE vane at a time, two EZ fletches is BLAZING fast. I can do 12arrows in 20-30min. Using a Bohning jig, it usually takes about 3hrs! Even with multiple single vane jigs, you'll always spend 3x longer on each arrow.
To position my fletching NOT at the rear of the arm, I use small document clamps on the outside of the arm to hold the vanes in place #this technique also helps even if you're just using the end of the arm as your stop#.
The original #aluminum shaft# EZ fletch DOES work for most carbon arrows. I fletched all of my GT XT Hunter 7595's, and my buddies Beman ICS Hunter 340's #both carbon shafts) with the aluminum model.
The aluminum model does NOT work for small "wind beater" 3D outdoor arrows though. For that, you DO need the carbon model.
Arizona E-Z Fletch is a great tool that anyone can use. I would suggest any archer have one just in case you need to fletch an arrow. My 13 year old grandson learned to use it in 5 minutes and he refletched all his arrows with new 2" vanes and they looked and shot great..
