Arizona Archery Fletch III Fletching Jig

The Arizona Archery Fletch III Fletching Jig is a simple, super-accurate fletching tool for a reasonable price. Its compact design makes it perfect for in-the-field repairs, and it's incredibly easy to use. Fletches with a 1° offset and fits arrows .240" to .370" (A/C/C dia. to 25 alum. dia.). Clamp is made of a rigid material that contains Teflon® and silicone, so glue won't stick to it. Stable stand has two sides to accommodate different arrow sizes.

This unit does exactly what it says. It is not a high end unit. It is not for someone who wants to make a business of re-fletching arrows. If you do a few dozen arrows a year than this is perfect.
About the jig, The entire jig is made of plastic. The clamp is held in place by two pegs that slide up and down within the main section of the jig. They are a little tight, and as one reviewer recommended a little teflon spray makes them slide easily. The arrow is held in place by by a "receiver" that slides into the main jig. The shaft of the arrow than lays in a small "V" at the other end of the jig and is held there by gravity. The fletching is held in place by a clamp that is seen in the product photo. The package came with a small tube of glue which worked for about 10 arrows. I found that a small bead of glue on the fletching was all that was necessary. Additional glue just ran off onto the shaft or ran onto the clamp and glued the clamp to the fletching. With practice I was able to complete an arrow in about 15 minutes. (I waited longer than was recommended to let the glue set).
There are some instructions on the package, but I would recommend going to the manufacturer's website for more detailed instructions. Hope this helps.

Easy, pro shop results for first time user
Date:
I had never fletched my own arrows before trying this product. Had read a couple negative reviews stating product is plastic and prone to breaking, lack of directions make it difficult to get started, etc. I did not experience any of these problems. Easy to use, and quick! I produced a dozen fletched arrows that looked like they came out of a pro shop in about an hour. TIPS: go to Arizona Archery's website if you want more in depth instructions, use only a very small bead of glue for clean results, do not bear down with all your weight when applying fletchings with this jig - it only needs to be firm and snug. I highly recommend this product for anyonewho would like to quit paying a pro shop to fletch their arrows and try it yourself to save $$.

Once I had help from a Cabela's person, the jig was easy to use.. I think better instructions or a U-tube would be much better.

I bought this item with the intent on fletching my own arrows to save money. The jig was a cheaper brand and model but in the end my arrows looked like they had been fletched by a professional. This was my first time fletching my own arrows and this jig made it easy to get them straight and even.
