The PH-1 boasts a powerful 90-lumen output and runs up to three hours. For added convenience, there is a rubber bite guard around the middle of the flashlight to give you a comfortable grip when holding it with your teeth. The metal hat clip allows you to place the light on the bill of your cap for hands-free operation. Operates on one AA battery (included).
I have used this light on hunting trips to Alaska, Texas and New Zealand and thus far have not experienced anything but excellent service. I thought it had quit once but the body just needed to be tightened - my fault since I unscrewed the contacts during air travel. The light is slightly long when you fit it on the brim of a baseball cap so it needs to be slightly offset. It is very bright and long lasting and the beam is excellent. It was great for walking back to camp on a bear trail on Kodiak last Nov. If you are trying to go on a trip and only carry AA batteries, instead of 2 or 3 types of batteries, then this is the most compact AA light I have found. I plan to buy more if Cabela's ever gets anymore.
I ordered one of these flashlights and was impressed, at first. The light was very bright and appeared to be well made for the price. I then ordered two more. I need a very bright, but small flashlight for my work. Before the second two arrived, the first light quit working. I replaced the battery, still didn't work. Now the second two flashlights ordered were in. Neither one worked out of the box. Tried new batteries, still didn't work. Now I have three of these flashlights and none work. I wish this was a good product because it fits my needs perfectly. Very disappointing.
