I have purchased 4 of the LAL lights, they are fantastic. Very well built and very bright. They make great lights for use in tent or screenhouses. The cords are long enough to reach the 12v lighter outlet inside the car.You cam also use a Sherpa Power Pack. As far as energy consumption, they go forever, 3 watts of juice and the lights seriously will light up a room just like a 40 or 50 watt bulb. The lights have a nice switch on the side with a solid feel, not some cheap thing. One of the things I like most about these lights is how they daisy chain together. You only need one 12 volt outlet and you are able to hook up to 12 lights in a series. With 9 feet of cable attached to each light, that is over 100 feet of lights from one power source.
This little light doesn't draw much power, I use it on my computer (USB PLUG) and with my a/c adapter for the iPod. I had never seen this brand before so bought the light in the LaVista Store. I am very pleased with it. It puts out enough light to read by, or do close tasks. Now I want to get the expedition 150 with the battery, inverter and a 30w solar panel. Could have used this in Iraq!
