ADDING TO OLD REVIEW
Date:
I gave a review to a 700 rechargeable flashlight last year and gave it 5 stars. The person that gave it 2 stars after me said the light only had 1 led. They must have changed the light because my older one has 3. I use my light during hunting season and a few times through the year and still give it 5 stars. I shouldn't have waited so long to post the review but I don't know how you can rate it without using it a few months.
My rechargeable batteries are still good too. That was my biggest worry when I bought it.
Hope this helps.

Doesn't have the distance.
Date:
It lights up an entire field, yes, but only out to about 100 yards, and I needed something out to 300. I thought the 1200 lumens would do that for me, but what I learned is a deeper and more focused lens is more important for distance than the number of lumens a light has. My 210 lumen spotlight puts this one to shame when it comes to distance. The switch is stupid, too. It toggles between high and low beam and a lot of the time you have to toggle it 5 times before you can even get to high beam. It is very lightweight and has outstanding brightness, but it overheats after about 10 minutes on high beam and it shots off. It made me frustrated, lost 3 coon because I couldn't get it to turn on.

1200 lumen Alaskan Guide flash light
Date:
Only a conditional "four" stars as yet.
Now, I have previously purchased one 500 lumen, quartz model, plus one 535 lumen LED model. So I am quite familiar with such lights. Both work fine, even if the quartz model eats battery charges, (known attribute of quartz), and a blub now and then.
The 535 lumen model has been flawless, except one time that it gave me the following problem as described below about the 1200 lumen model that I have returned and am awaiting it's replacement. More on actual usage, when that arrives.
The first one, (if it worked correctly), is a heck of a light! But the circuit/s that protect things by shutting down the light and not letting it come on again, until it is plugged into the charger again, if even for seconds, shut it down way too early. It would never run for more than a minute and then shut down. Once that is fixed, the only other improvement would be the two stage switch. It toggles between off, low beam and high beam. It would be much better if it had separate switches for the low and high.
I am looking forward to replying with a much better report, when I receive the defective one's replacement, shortly.
