Each year these get better and better! I bought these when they first came out and had trouble with the dowel breaking and reel wings recalled them and gave everyone a new designed decoy. I read a couple of the reviews that said they couldnt fly them?? my 6 year old flys mine as kits when im not hunting! Only thing I can say is call the company, I spoke with them on a few occasions and thye are a great group that will help if you have a problem.
This decoy works on snows i can tell you we could fly them three days on our five day hunt and we only did good when we were flying the reel wings they work!!!
Works very good , but wind needs to be more like 8-10 constant. If you have variable winds, it will go down.
Stake it and forget it.....I'm getting 2 more....movement is awesome and seems to draw the birds down better.
Downside....little tough to assemble, I can see where people may have problems, but I got it to work. Patience!! You need to compress or push down on the foam on the wings to get it to fit into the center disc.
I have read mixed reviews about these flying decoys so I called the company directly and spoke to a guy named Scott. After speaking to Scott for about 15 minutes (which I thought was amazing because he is the inventor and very busy by the sounds of the phones ringing in the back ground) He explained to me how to set my spread up and where to fly my decoys. He recommended I fly 2 duck and 1 snow goose and explained that the flash of the snow goose will attract the ducks from a greater distance. Well let me tell you, I did what he told me and WOW! it was the most amazing duck hunt I have had in years!
5 Stars to Scott and the guys at Reel Wings for taking the time to explain thier products to me! They are a great asset to Cabelas!
