i couldn't believe a top of the line rod nowadays would not have this already on it but i was wrong. cabela's solved the problem. this little item works great.

They do the job of protecting your reel seat and cork handles on your rods that did not come with a hook keeper. The o-rings let you attach them to all size rod blanks. I have them on several lower priced rods for more than a year and they are holding up well

I bought 2 of these for a couple of my rods that didnt have holders. They work as well as any hook holders that came on my expensive rods very happy with them and bought 4 more to use on other rods
