I love not having to worry!
Date:
My wife's dad lost a rod combo after it flipped out of his boat and sank out of sight, too deep to retrieve. My sister slung a rod combo into a lake when casting from the bank and a friend of mine dropped his overboard while tube fishing. With so many drowned rods in my circle of friends and family over the years, I was thrilled to see Cabela's selling these Rod Floaters. My rods are not the most expensive but I've had a lot of good memories with them and would be one sad fisherman if I were to lose one to the drink! Thanks Cabela's for the peace of mind I get using this rod & reel insurance. I also like the quick indentify of my different rigs using the colors these come in, although I like the black ones the best.

Great for the big guys too

As advertised, these work great. As an avid float tuber I have had two expensive combo's attempt to escape further fish fighting duties. Fortunately these escape attempts proved futile due to the rod floaters. There has been no problems with line slapping against them. Only gripe is after a few years they occasionally slide down the rod. A small price to pay for peace of mind.
