I was looking a roof top rod rack. They are few and far between. So I bought 2 pair of these and mounted then to my roof rack on my suburban. Went to Home depot and got 8 1 1/2 stainless bolts with wing nuts and drilled a 1/4 hole through the cross bars of my roof rack. They look and fit great. And if I ever need to take them off I can just slide the unit off of the base. So no more broken rod tips from riding in the truck. Would suggest this to anyone wanting to mount fishing rod holders to the top of your car or truck.

I think the idea is good but needs to be better made and design. It does twists as mentioned in a previous review and the suction cups really don't stay on!
