Two-piece, steel rod rack with an extra-thick vinyl coating to protect rods. Holds up to 11 rods securely and protects them from scratches and damage. Allows for horizontal storage of rods on the ceiling where they're out of the way, yet readily accessible. Circular openings ensure proper fit for any-size handle. Tapered V-hooks secure the tip of the rod. Mounts in minutes with included hardware.
Great rod rack with lots of good features. It is very sturdy and has what seems to be a very thick plastic coating. Mounting was very easy. I didn't give the rack 5 stars because the plastic coating is extremely tacky (sticky). When I pressed one of the halves against my wall, it pulled off a chunk of paint and some of the underlying drywall. I fixed that by putting masking tape on the surface that touches the wall. Also, the mounting holes are a little too close together (i.e., rack is too short). Even when I stagger some of my reels, they still interfere with each other or other rods in the rack.
These are just the ticket for storing multiple fishing rods out of the way and overhead where they can be easily seen. I bought several of these racks. I keep all of my rods mounted in my basement ceiling where the floor joists have 16" centers. The racks come with four mounting screws and convenient slots cut in them to fit 16" centers. Made of vinyl coated steel, they not only look nice, but they'll last forever. I really like this product.
