Driftmaster™ Round T-Bar Rod Holder System

A 24" Trolling Bar allows you to fish as many as four rods at the same time. This system includes four Li'l Pro rod holders, a star base with stainless steel mounting screws, 1/2"-diameter locking stem, lock sprocket and clamp bases that fit 7/8"-diameter round rails.

I have found the following problems.
1. Too short
2. Wobbles causing thread on nuts to strip
3. Locking nut on top (rounded) bar comes loose. If tighten to tight you will crush the rounded bar
4. The base nut will strip

Good:
1. the rod holders are nice and can be adjusted to various positions.

I wouldn't recommend this product.

Driftmaster Round T-Bar Rodholder system

This is an outstanding product. It is fully adjustable. Rods can be turned to any angle to allow a very wide or narrow rod spread. Angle of rod holders can be adjusted individually to place rod tips exactly as high off the water as you prefer. It can hold almost any type rod. Rodholder is built strong enough to be very durable. I highly recommend this item for anyone who fishes with more than one rod in the water at a time.

Good Holders/Sorry Bases

Have two of these. The holders are of good design & high quality. However, the supplied bases allow the bar to wobble, are made of soft aluminum and consequently easily cross-threaded. Additionally, the locking piece for the star base is easily lost into the water when removing the holders. I plan to make my own bases out of stainless steel and use a stainless 1/2-13 wing nut to lock the stem to the base... It is a shame Driftmaster & Cabelas do not offer better bases for such a good system.
