too small for regular reels

got two of these for my reels. the smaller reel a shimano elf 5000 just about fits the cover. a regular daiwa 4000 does not. am using these for my curado as nothing else would fit in. rest they seem well put together.

Good but could use different sizes

These reels covers are great. The only reason I did not give a 5/5 was for the fact that they don't make a size to fit all of my different reels. They are good for spinning reels for the bass and walleye range. Too big for my panfish set up, stream trout set up, or ice fishing set ups. And too small for my catfish rig. But overall good design, good quality, and durable

Needs improvements

They do work to protect from dings and scratches however they are on the small size creating a bit of a hassle to put on. I feel a wrap around velcro bag such as the style cabelas lure keepers are made would be far better. Use the same neoprene material that these reel covers are made of and provide a small slit for the handle incase you do not want to fold the handle in. Easy on- easy off with even better protection. I would rather spend twice as much for a superior product.
