perfect as it gets
Date:
Gave the Ande florocarbon a test run a 3 weeks ago in Lapaz Mexico. Landed several 40# to50# yellow-tails. Did not have a single break off, or knot failure. Used palamar knots on swivells, Snell knots on circle hooks. We used our own tackle, purchased at Cabelas at Sidney Ne. The captain was most impressed. We were pulling 30# leader on 20# braded line, on spinning reels and rods purchased in Nebraska. What do they know about salt water fishing in the corn belt? Talk to Larry, Pat, or Ben at the Sidney outlet, and find out for yourself.

Good Leader
Date:
I confess I buy fluorocarbon based on price, and prefer larger spools to the typical 25 yard leader spools designed to camouflage the high price of fluorocarbon. As a result I often buy Ande fluorocarbon because Ande gives me 50 yards. This has worked very well as saltwater leader, in tests from 40 to 100 pounds, and people using Ande leader on boats with me have caught marlin up to 300 pounds on 100 pound leader, dorado up to 60 pounds and tuna to 100 pounds on 40 pound leader, and striped marlin to 140 pounds on plastic squid tied with 50 pound Ande fluorocarbon. It has done well as salmon mooching leader in 20 pound test, too. It holds a knot well, and has good abrasion resistance.
