If you drop-shot ,you have to get some of these. I dropshot alot especially in the summer and these are the best. I used to have to use a small swivel to minimize line twist bit now I don't. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
I used the Spinshot hooks today, drop shot fishing for walleyes in 20' of water. They worked well....and seemed to prevent the line twist is really a problem when drop shot fishing in heavy currents in the Mississippi River.
I would recommend rigging up your drop shot hooks (we can use 2) on fluorocarbon and connecting to your braid via swivel. Really small braid keeps wrapping around the spinshot swivel.
This is a great product - the bait always hangs naturally and it eliminates the line twist associated with dragging a round weight across the bottom. One great little trick is to to use lighter line below the hook, if I'm fishing 8# main line I'll use 4# or 6# below, so when the weight gets hung and you have to break off - all you loose is the lead, not the whole rig.
