We use these hooks exclusively for bottom fishing off shore in 100+ feet of water. We catch some big, big fish on them and they have never failed us!!!

Super Mutu/Gorilla Hooks

I would highly recommend the super mutu or ringed Gorilla hooks (1/0 or 2/0) for live bait fishing in southern California. Excellent strength for fighting game fish (tuna, yellows, albys, wahoo, other) and size works well for chovie and most other southern CA live baits. Ringed hooks are always better as they allow the bait to swim more freely and provide effective presentation.
