Excellent hook for the price!

I bought these to replace the hooks on my salmon casting lures, mainly the body baits I throw for fall run salmon in Michigan. These have been excellent as I have yet to have a salmon break or bend one out. Even pulling in a 26 pound fresh run Chinook Salmon was no match for these hooks. So many times the hooks bend on my casting baits, and these hooks were the ticket.

good for the price

I do a lot of king mackerel fishing, so I use 200 to 300 hooks a year, and the 4x eagle claw hold up well, and cost 1/2 to a 1/3 the price of other 4x hooks when bought in the 25 or 50 pack.

The only hook I can count on to hold a really big striper. They are super sharp and super tough. I change hooks on my striper crankbaits, using heavy split rings.
