Exceptionally smooth, it resists friction for longer casts and reduced line noise. It’s soft to reduce line influence on artificials for more lifelike action and thinner to give live bait more opportunity to swim naturally. Decreased current resistance for faster sink rates.

Great Line

I have used this line for the past 2 seasons for paddlefish. It not only has great strength, but with the thinness of the line you can cast farther than other lines. After the first season, my other fishing buddies all bought the same line.

Best Braid

I have been using this line ever since it first came out, This is the best braid I have ever used !
I have it spooled on my baitcasting and spinning reels, I fish for Musky, pike, bass, walleyes, panfish, even stealhead in the rivers, never a problem with Samurai braid, smooth and easy casting, it has a small dia but it is a strong line compare to all others I have used.
I don't see myself using any other braid as long as Daiwa keeps up with the quality.

Removed after two fishings.

Worst line ever fished with

I purchased this braided Samurai line based on the 5 star feedback. Got 15# high Vis yellow and spooled it on my Shimano Stella 3000 FE. Went to the hot spot and tried casting. WOW, 30% increase on the distance sounds fantastic. Then casted with rapala F series 1/4 oz crankbait. When bass hit hard, the line got ripped in no time! Drag was set at less than 5 pounds accurately and knots were pretty reliable. Went back home and tried different knots and tested with a spring scale. This line easily rips at 3lbs, 5lbs or at most 8lbs when pulled gently on both terminals. Considering its 15lbs rated, this is absolutely unacceptable! And I even gave it a second try on the water then lost another Rapala on the second bite. Simply the same problem whatsoever. This line is smooth, thin and extremely excellent on casting. But too prone to break makes it the worst impression and I won't recommend it to anyone else!
