Cabelas jig heads do have some deficiencies ( paint chips easily, hook eyes hard to clean ) but the the price out weights the flaws. I do a lot of walleye fishing and lose a good amount of jigs due to snags so the price is important. I found with the wire hooks on the Cabelas jigs that if a constant pressure is applied to a snag the hook will straighten out and release from the snag a good amount of times, the hook can easily be reformed and used again. You should never lose a fish due to the hook straightening out if your drag is set correctly. In my opinion the Cabelas jig head is a good value for the fisherman who does a lot of jig fishing.
