Junk, right out of the box. Save your money.
Date:
Set up unit with fully charged Moultrie battery, (85 degrees outside) mounted on 4 by 4 post, 36 inches from waters edge (that's where the rocks end, and I was able to put in a post)
I set up unit to feed at four different 6-second bursts, five minutes apart in the evening at dusk. This was to allow fish to consume food over about 20 minutes time, as recommended by Purina.
Well, I couldn't get the unit to throw food more than 42-48 inches, and 90 percent of it all went down between the rocks.
I retested the unit in my concrete driveway over some tarps to catch the food and measure. Nothing was thrown over 54 inches on the tarps with a six second feed setting.
I suppose if you had this unit hanging out over the water (where it would be a pain in the butt to fill) it might be OK, but moultries' claim of broadcasting feed anywhere near 25 feet is completely false.
Possibly with a longer feed setting it would speed up and throw farther, but do you want the first six seconds of feed scattered down between the rocks on the shoreline ? I know I don't.
You've been warned.

Poor in cold weather
Date:
I have this and 3 other Moultrie feeders. The 1st one I bought in 2009 was good but this one and the other two E-Z fills I have will not work in colder temps. At any temp below ,+ 25* F, the displays do not function and or the whole unit needs to be reset when the unit warms to above the freezing mark. The old ones where great but all the new ones with the adjustable feeder times are worthless in the winter. I bought several for feeding the pheasants on my place and I can only count on them too fail. So I get up before daylight and set grain out for them myself. I should have saved my money and just feed them by hand every morning. A great disappointment.

6 1/2 GALLON FISH FEEDER MOULTRIE
Date:
VERY EASY TO SET UP AND USE. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THAT WHEN YOU SET IT TO A LOW FEED TIME IT DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO GET UP TO SPEED AND DOES'T THROW VERY FAR, BUT ALL THE FEED STILL GOES IN THE WATER ALL AROUND I AM SATISFIED WITH IT
