Optronics Fish-N-Lite® Fishing Lights

The 12-volt fluorescent tube in these Submersible Neon Green Fish Lights glows green and attracts microorganisms, which in turn attract baitfish. Adding various size weights allow you to float the tube or fully submerge it. Draws little power so it is easy on your battery. Light doubles as a boat/camper light that won't affect nightvision or attract bugs. And now this line-up includes new green Fish-N-Lite/Spotlight combo. This powerful attractor has an 18" fluorescent green tube plus a powerful sealed beam spotlight to illuminate a wide bottom area. Comes complete with battery clips and 20-ft. cord. All have a 2,500-hour bulb life. Choose the Large 9" Light or the Magnum 18" Light.
Available:
  • Large 9"
  • Magnum 18"

When I used the Optronics Fish-n-light for the first time, one of the tubes filled up with water. It took me hours to drain the water out of the tube. When I tried to screw the two tubes together again, the tube with the threads on the inside cracked. I don't think I will ever use it again in fear it might short out my battery.

    Night lights
    Date:
My family and I have had good experiences with Cabelas for over thirty years. However, these Optronics lights were among the worst products I have ever used. We purchased two, and looked forward eagerly to using them. But they didn't attract fish, and both quickly leaked, and then the lights stopped working. We would have returned them for credit but we had purchased them in advance of a fishing trip, and then didn't get around to returning them

    Lites take on water quickly
    Date:
I bought these lights and the extension wands so I would have two 3 foot underwater lights. After screwing them together and using petroleum jelly (vaseline) to seal the ends we fished them for about six hours at night. One of the LED with the power cord filled with water and it was only two feet under the water's surface. The extensions either took on about a half inch of water or filled halfway. There is no way to get the water back out of these lights. The cheap O-ring seals dont keep water out. And the lights are now completely useless after one trip. They have corroded or burnt out and it was in fresh water. It was a complete waste of money and I do not recommend these even to my worst enemy!!
Use green glowsticks. Easier to deal with and easier to wieght down. Cheaper on the wallet!!
