Dynamite Fire-Starter Crate

Invented in 1866 by Alfred Nobel, dynamite's cylindrical shape perfectly fit down the drilling holes used in mining operations. When the charges were set, the now-famous phrase "fire in the hole" was cried to warn miners of the coming blast. Though the contents of this sturdy wood crate will not move mountains, they will start your fireplace. One look at the realistic "dynamite" crate will have family and friends looking twice. Each cedar wood crate contains 20, 8"L x 1-1/4"W, fire-starter sticks. They are made of paraffin and sawdust for a long, hot burn. Each stick will burn approximately 30 minutes setting ablaze even the most stubborn wood. Made in USA.

Very happy. The fire start sticks are much larger than I thought so they easily make 3 fires per stick. the crate is well made, looks great. Be careful when you open the cardboard box that the crate is packed in. Keep it with the sticker on the top and open it somewhere that you don't mind having wood shavings sprinkle all over :) Not a big deal, but had I knkown I would have opened it on the lawn or driveway. Definately happy with the purchase.Way to go Cabela's!

The guy from San Francisco probably thought the stuff should explode too! Best starter I have used. Better than fat lighter. Down here in MS it works well even in the rain... but not a hard rain. I plan to order refills frequently. Box is well made and well decorated. Doesn't need a latch and won't spill the sawdust unless you turn the box over. Sawdust burns well too! I'm going to order some for friends at the end of Moss Swamp Road as well. Git chee some! Good Stuff!

Very realistic....happily surprised to see how full the box was of "dynamite sticks"...the crate blends in perfectly with my rustic look...bought the refills...lots there too... be awhile before we will be needing more....

If you have a fireplace and you live anywhere it gets below fifty, you will need these. One stick when broken and the right amount of kindling you can have as much as five fires. These sticks are defintely a very good deal, and will potentially last for two or more seasons.
