I personally think this is a good fire starter. although, it feels like it is made out of cheap plastic. and in the video it looks bigger. over all i think this is something you should always have in your survival kit.

It wasnt as easy to use as I expected. It is one hand, but you may be in trouble if you were weak or have bad leverage trying to get it to spark reliably, had a little bit trouble getting it to go wet, it has to be dry. It doesnt work wet, but it is easy to dry. With proper kindling it will have a fire going in no time

At first this thing threw out great sparks. After a few times of using it the spark output was greatly diminished. I was only trying it out at home before putting it in my pack for use in the outdoors.
The striker portion wore out before I ever got it out of the yard. Now you can't even get a spark by using a knife so the thing has become useless before ever being useful.
I would NOT recomend this to anyone. Get one that you can use a knife or piece of steel to get a spark from.

I am a scoutmaster ,my troop really likes the BLASTMATCH over any other fire starting tools.
Even on snow thay have no problem starting fires.
