Great Idea but not very functional!!
Date:
I bought this to throw in my vehicle for repair and or safety for things such as starting a fire in the event I got stuck off roading during the winter. Unfortunately whether trying to use the supplier butane fillable "lighter" or using a prefilled one bought at a store I couldn't get this to work consistently.

Good Item If Needed
Date:
The Micro Jet Pocket Torch is a good item if you need a small torch to heat small items such as working on fishing lures, etc.. The operation works great, except for the thumb starter, which must be pulled back then down for ignition almost making it a two hand operation. LDM2

Good idea, poor functionality
Date:
the platform of this lighter was very appealing on the shelf. it has a compact size and a piezo lighter which have prooved to be reliable. also, it uses a simple refillable lighter as fuel. all those features i liked, what i didnt like, is that it DIDNT WORK. The lighter was very inconsistent. I bought it for a trip backpacking to the Daniel boone in kentucky. and in the wind and cold, the lighter did okay, but the trouble was getting the lighter lit. the child lock was a huge hassle, and the main problem was that the lighter never turned off! it mentioned on the package that it might take a few seconds for the flame to go out, but with my lighter it took up to 10 seconds for the flame to go out. i had to resort to just pulling the cap off every time we tried to start a fire. huge hassle, also in order to adjust the flame you have to open it and adjust it...

tough to use
Date:
Good burn but you have to use two hands to ignite. Not good in most outdoor situations. Poor design, bad buy.
