Coghlan's Waterproof Fire Sticks

  • Reliable fire-starting method
  • Easy to pack and carry
  • Ignites even when wet
A reliable, quick and convenient fire starter that’s not only handy at the campsite – it could someday be a life saver. Use it to start barbecues and fireplace fires, too. Each nontoxic stick leaves no odor and is completely consumed by the fire it ignites. You can even light it after it’s been submerged in water. Per 12. Made in USA.

Never be without a fire
Date:
It doesnt get more basic than this. the key is that you MUST have 3 things -
1. A decent amount of shavings off the block
2. a good nest to catch the flame (use dryer lint - nothing beats it. Coincidentally you'll also suddenly understand why there are so many dryer fires in America every year....)
3. I little bit of patience
aside from that, you will never be without the ability to make a fire again. Great product. I plan on ordering several more and stashing them in my camping gear, by my fireplace, car, etc....

fire starter
Date:
I purchased this fire starter as a back up to trying to keep matches and lighters dry and operational on canoeing/camping trips. The fire starter has worked well for me. There is no question that a simple match is easier, but it a great backup and emergiency item.

OK at this time thare are 80 reviews and it is not likely that any one will reed this but here goes the one I got is just lick this acsept it came with a striker the striker like the 3" end of a hack saw now how you light a fire is like so you find some old mans beard it is a tipe of funges or liken it groes on trees it is stringy grayish greenish blueish grose in cluster buntches usely all over the tree you wont to get a lot but do not pack it. Now I asume you have got a lot of kindeling allredy now take a bit of the beard stuff and pack it in to a disk 2" a cross nice and tite in the midel but lues on the edges then scape the shavings of magnesium in to the midel with the back of the hack saw blade get a big pile abote the sies of youre thum nail so the spark will hit it the shavings then hold the block with the fake flint thing fasing up in your left hand and you's your two fore fingers to hold it aginst your thum and heel of the hand and plase the jaged edge close to the end closer to your body at ruffly a .45 angle to the flint thing apply presser and scrape downe the length of in hard and fast to throe a spark .
