We love to have the Grandkids & friends over. The pit is made of rugged steel, light weight and easy to move, starts a fire quickly and all is contained for safety. Came with a poker but no rack to cook. (I had a rack made). I store it in the garden shed so no need to worry bout water damage.
It is a pit young & old can use with ease and safety. Kids love "starting" the fire and cleaning up too. The large ring around it makes it easy & safe to move, empty and no one gets too close to the fire.
My life is easier, everyone can use it (kids, handycapped etc. cuz it is designed for safety), clean up a breeze, cooks nice and we enjoy lots of conversation around the fire. What an investment!!!

Great firepit

We were going to build a large pit out of manor stones. A friend of ours has a smaller version of this pit and it really kicks out the heat. So we bought this one and it is wonderful. Saved ourselves a lot of time and energy by going this route for now. We did drill a hole in the bottom as others did. Understandable for liability purposes why it did not have a pre-drilled hole for drainage.

This is a great firepit with one exception. There is no way for the water that collects after rain to drain out. I had to drill some holes in the bottom. With the screen in the sides, it would have been a better design if there was some of that screen in the bottom to allow water out and air in.
