Mix is scientifically formulated in amounts to maximize digestion and utilization.

The first time putting out 30-06 was last fall gun season. The deer did not seem to go for it. However we were not able to completely follow instructions on the package by mixing with soil due to frost. We were tenacious and put more in other locations after the frost melt. Following the instructions by mixing with the soil seemed to help. The deer tracks around the area and hole dug where we put the mineral is evidence deer and what ever other wildlife have found and are hitting this hard only 3 weeks after putting it out.

Took quite awhile to get the deer using it. After doing more research and trying several other brands for comparison, it seems that it is much cheaper and just as effective to use the easy to make yourself bulk mix you can find by just doing a simple search online. If you have plenty of extra cash and are too lazy to mix your own its OK.

I think this is working, but it is a little hard to tell. Bucks did seem to stop by during the summer to check it out. However, I was not able to get a buck to appear during hunting times of day.

Although granulated mineral takes a bit longer to apply than just setting out a mineral block, I can promise you the deer in the Adirondacks prefer the 30-06. I make about 4 licks per 20 lb bag and the deer find it and have it ready to replentish within 2 weeks.
