Poor quality for buggers and jigs
Date:
I tie many woolly buggers and jigs and go through lots of marabou. For these uses I like feathers with very thin shafts and long fluff. These are just the opposite - short fluff and very thick shafts. If you just want to pull tiny bits of feather off for use on small flies this stuff will work, but if you are tying large buggers or jigs here you want to use a whole feather this stuff is the worst I have seen.

Great Colours and quality
Date:
I love Jay Fair's colours and quality. I have used and will continue to use other feathers, but I love the burnt orange and burgandy from Jay. Quality seems to be similar to the other big name feather companies.

Not-So-Premium Marabou
Date:
I like Jay Fair feathers for the top quality and the rich and unique colors you can't get from other suppliers. However, this batch was disappointing. First, the feathers weren't fluffy but clumpy so I had to discard a third of it to get to the good stuff. Second, the color was not as rich or deep as the ones I purchased a few years back. I'll probably not order this item online; you really need to see for yourself.

Nice Marabou!
Date:
Very good quality marabou. There just isn't very much to a package.
