These are very good quality Hungarian Partridge Skins. We have used them to tie the Moto Minnow and Soft Hackles. The price is camparable to other suppliers and with shipping deals Cabelas has, it does pay to drive a long way to a fly shop. Here in the midwest, fly shops are hard to find.

I usually don't purchase feathers without seeing them firsthand but in this instance I did and I was not disappointed. The feathers were just fine for tying soft hackle flies.

Good assortment of feather sizes

The partridge skin I received was pretty decent. I've had better with several smaller feathers for smaller patterns. I tie lots of soft hackle patterns so this skin will supply my needs for a little while. Only down side was the hide-tanning process could have been better. The skin smelled pretty bad and could have been prepared better prior to tanning. Other than that the feathers are fresh and get the job done.
