Description: P. Maclagan, back-action, hammer, 12 gauge with 30" Damascus twist barrels
bored .003 and .007, a smooth, concave, and tapered solid rib and brass
front bead. The barrels are an eye catching brown and white Zebra patterned.
The once case colored, double trigger, round action receiver has turned to
patina with little coloring remaining. The receiver and trigger guard show
minor border engraving and the Dolphin hammers are plain with little detail.
The side plates have the name "P. Maclagan" engraved on the right and left
sides. The Damascus rib is engraved with "P. Maclagan, 33 County Place,
Perth". The straight grain, walnut, straight-hand stock holds an extended
trigger guard tang, initial plate, and smooth, steel shotgun butt with a
tear drop heal. The splinter fore end is checkered with an antler fore end
tip. A nice representative of Scottish made shotguns! LOP: 14 3/16".
