emergency i have a radio

i realy like the radio for a portable radio i can take to the park or out on the boat and not have to worry about batteries or plugging it in. But, what i was looking for was a radio that i could crank up for a few seconds and get a half hour of radio time. that is not this radio. three minutes of hard turning of the handle gets you about ten minutes of power. the good thing is that when you plug it into an outlet (car or house) for a half hour you get about two and a half hours of power. it was truely designed for emergencies.

Little unit with a lot of options....overall satisfied. Sound is average with not much volume and tinny - lacking bass tones. I wanted the digital tuning and actually a bit too sensitive.
