Feel safe and connected with this self-powered digital radio. The unit can harness the power of the sun, or use its built-in, hand-crank generator to charge the NiMH battery. Use the digital tuner to bring in AM, RSB-FM, WB and SW bands. RSB-FM receives station information. Radio has all seven NOAA weather bands, plus S.A.M.E. technology for location-based weather alerts. Large, easy-to-read, green LED digital display is illuminated and backlit for viewing in poor light. Radio has built-in flashlight, siren and cell phone charger.

there old stuff was great put the new radios are not made for being used just for siting there looking cool don't buy it

Handle fell of the Crank Arm.

I opened the box turned the handle about 5 revolutions, and then the handle fell off the Crank Arm. I couldn't find any piece that broke off, but the handle axle shaft is very tiny/weak. Definitely not survival tool quality.
