The G3 Sport Basic trainer is another leap forward for Tri-Tronics, featuring an all-new ergonomic design and abuse-resistant transmitter. Fully waterproof transmitter and receiver. On/off button, status LED and interchangeable short and long contact points on the receiver. 10 levels of momentary and constant stimulation. Separate button gives an aversive buzz for training without stimulation. Expandable to control three dogs with purchase of additional EXP receivers (one receiver and one collar included). Receiver uses replaceable, rechargeable NiMH batteries. 1/2-mile range. Transmitter uses 9-volt battery. All batteries included. Made in USA.

The G 3 collar is my third dog collar in the last 20 years. Buy far the easiest to use and charge. The battery holds up way longer than my last two, , also made in the USA. Great collar !

This is the first e-collar I have ever used. Frankly I was not very supportive of this type of training tool. I did alot of research into all types and makes of collars and the correct way to use them for training. I spoke with several professional trainers. Everyone in my area holds this make as the standard benchmark in a training tool.
I watched the video that came with the product and found it very informative. I followed the directions and along with using common sense. I found positive results within one training session. The controller is easy to use. The buttons are clearly marked. The unit is comfortable in your hand or hanging around your neck by the lanyard.
The range of 1/2 mile is way more distance than I will ever need but it is great to know I have control out that far. The collar is easy to put on. I use the small probes for my dog and they work quite well.
I have got the collar soaking wet and snowy and the sending unit has been dropped in the mud and snow already. Both continue to work without flaw.
This collar as a training tool is by far the best training method I have ever used. My dog is a Labrador and is generally easy to discipline so I do not have to go any higher than the number 2 and he obeys exactly the way I expect him to.
I have only been using this product for a few months but I would highly recommend it to any one training a dog. I have over 20 years at training waterfowl dogs and would not train another one without this tool.

The Tri-Tronics dog training collar has helped me become a little more than a novis trainer. My dog has responded to the mildest level of shock and is preforming very good. After the initial basic commands were established using the collar, my dog still wears the collar during training sessions; however the collar is hardly ever activated. Great product, very good quality and very good training aid. Also the instructional CD was helpful.
