Recently purchased this product and proceeded to try to fit it to my Minnkota Edge bow mount trolling motor. DO NOT EVEN TRY!! The metal clip is too tall to fit in the existing channel and you cannot attach it to the existing tie off mount. I attempted to alter the clip with no problem, but in trying to modify the internal attachment I broke it completey off. Now I cannot fish until my trolling motor comes back from the factory authorized repair shop. I take full responsibility for the breakage but the part was sold as "will fit all modern trolling motors" - IT WILL NOT!!!!!!!

rope replacement

clevis will not fit on Gatorflex 360 mount. gap in clevis is too narrow, tried opening up gap but then screw would not line up correctly. tried grinding down rope bracket and then forcing clevis. broke rope bracket and have to order replacement part. Claim that replacement rope will fit ANY trolling motor is not true.

Trick Rope?

I purchased a trick Rope replacement trolling motor cord via the internet from Cabela's. What I got in the mail was not a Trick Rope, but the Rod Saver version of the Trick Rope. It doesn't fit my Minn Kota 101 Maxxum Pro US2, as another poster mentioned. It does not fit all trolling motors. It didn't come with the protective hose for the cable, and the yoke would not connect to anything on the interior of the trolling motor so you could lift and deploy the trolling motor.

Replaced Motorguide Tour Edition Rope

I guess I use my boat too much but the TM rope that came on my Tour Edition Motorguide kept breaking. I replaced it with this product and worked perfectly and so far since last fall I have never had any concerns with it breaking. Great Product.
