Enjoy hands-free steering while using any transom-mount trolling motor. Mounts on any bow or stern transom. It's an affordable way to enjoy the benefits of a bow-mount remote-control motor using a less-expensive tiller-equipped model. A 6-ft. flexible, braided, Teflon®-coated control cable lets you place the foot-operated control pedal in a convenient location. Precision engineering permits steering adjustments up to 180°. Three-position slide switch: off, continuous-on and momentary-contact. External parts are nearly indestructible, fiberglass-reinforced nylon. Transom-mount trolling motor not included.

Small lake use only

After my 1986 motorGuide foot controlled system died I decided to buy this unit. After making some adjustments to the control cables I was able to get it to handle the 34 trust motor. But this should only be used for small boats (under 14 feet) and small lakes or ponds. I use it for a 14ft v-hull on private lakes and it works OK. But put two people in it and the steering becomes a little tricky. I was impressed with the toughness of it. I rammed a log at full trottle and thought it would break something but did'nt hurt it at all. Actaully stopped the boat! This is one well built unit!

Didn't Work

Could not get this to work when the motor was under load. Works outside of the boat but as soon as it goes into the water, no luck. Tried all angles and different speeds. This was with a 46 pound thrust motor. It might work with a very light motor but not with anything larger. This one is going back to Cabelas.

Overall this is a welcome addition to my fishing gear. The only bad thing I have found is with the mountiing cups. The retaining washers pop off and are dificult to re-install. Since mounting for me is done every time I go fishing this is a minor problem, but a problem non the less. Well worth the money.

procontroll changed fishing for me!

This product is amazing! There are so many people who use transom mount trolling motors and there just hasn't been a way to operate them with a foot control. Now all that has changed since the Procontroll is the first adapter for the transom mount motor I've seen. I really enjoy going to farm ponds and local fishing holes with a pull behind jon boat. This has enabled me to catch a lot more fish! It is very simple to use and maneuver. It installs in like 30 seconds too! The instructions are simple and easy to follow. It seems really durable and strong. The parts seem of great quality and a lot of thought went into making this product, a must have!!! A++++!!!! Thanks
