When it comes to getting the birds in close for an easy shot, you need a call with the versatility to make loud nasally quacks as well as the soft feeding chatter that locks them up and makes them lower the landing gear. And here's just the call to do it. This realistic double-reed sends out the musical-quality tones Grounds is known for and gets the drakes in for easy pickings.
This call makes great sounds plain and simple. It's easy to use, and it sounds VERY ducky. Reason For 3 stars is that I have noticed when its cold(not even super cold) and I let it it sit for a few minutes, then blow the call, it sticks. It doesn't even stick fully but the first 5-8 notes that come out are sour and harsh. It's like every time you get on the call again you have to blow it hard to "clear" it before it starts to make those nice sounds again. The problem is I'm not gonna want to blow it hard and "clear" it in a situation where I need to call softly, but I don't want to be making those sour, harsh, notes either.
I purchased the Hen Talk a couple months ago now. It has an awsome sound to it. I can get really soft or I can get loud. I was even able to highball on it and it sounded good considering it is a double reed call,it never cut out once. Awsome call, nice sound, Awsome customer service! Go with a "Grounds" you won't be disapointed.
I have blown tons and tons of calls over the years.I will only be blowing on this call from now on!!!Long or short range this call sounds just like a duck.I will not leave home without it!!!
