Probably the best waterfowl/fishing boat combo
    Date:
I purchased this boat but outfitted it with a 40hp Mercury Jet motor instead of going with the 27hp mud motor.
The aft floatation pods handle the nearly 300lbs of combined weight of the motor and manual aluminum jack plate. The 1750 is primarily a Cabela's exclusive set up with the optional wider gun boxes which are roomy enough for stowing bulky life jackets etc. The floor is diamond plate allowing for great traction.
Mounted into the aft end port gun box is a 12v power outlet and a 6 bay power control box with switches to control lights & accessories. I had a Hummingbird 565 fish finder and a bilge pump installed as well as some Cabela's 360HT rod holders and some collapsible drink holders.
This boat is quite stable. I hardly noticed when a large lab or a person moved about when I wasn't looking.
Because of the floatation pods, a transom mount trolling motor is a tight fit, but I got mine to work with a 1/2" of clearance to spare. A bow mount motor would work well with the heavy duty welded mounting bracket already installed for one.
The bow platform being angled slightly forward allows much of the water from a wet dog climbing back in after a retrieve to drain out the bow hole.
The trailer is Yacht Club brand and well made. You will have to buy a spare wheel/tire and a mount for one if desired.
The recessed floor at the stern keeps your gas tank from moving around in transit however a 6 gal is the largest that will fit.
There are 4 seat positions welded into the floor. The rear seat is offset slightly for the driver and the other 3 are on the centerline. 3 seats are included and they telescope for height like many office chairs with a simple lever.
I researched most brands of welded and rivoted boats and the Beavertail is the most well thought out and best contructed. It is not a tunnel hull.
A call to Beavertail informed me that the 1800 series boat blind would be a better fit than the 1600 series and that the boat weighs about 570lbs without the motor.
