The Hi-Vis Adams Parachute is the best pattern for those days when glare or low light make seeing your fly difficult. You get all the great fishing advantages of a regular Adams with the addition of a fluorescent wing post for added visibility. Per 3. Sizes: 14, 16, 18, 20.
since i live so close to the san juan river in n.m., can fish it several times a week, if i choose. also make several trips a year to colo. to fish the arkansas. use this fly all the time with much success on both rivers. this fly is so easy to see either by itself or when tied behind a bigger dry fly. nothing wrong with a regular parachute adams with the white post, but the red post makes it stick out like a sore thumb. used it yesterday on the san juan when the fish were rising and had an awesome day. can't go wrong with this fly no matter where you live.
I puchased three of these flys and had a chance to use two last weekend. One came undone as I was trying to put it on my leader in the rain, the other I used the next day when it was dry & sunny. Although I could definitely see the fly on the water it also came apart after several casts and a couple of fish. First time I have had a fly come apart so easliy and after minimal use.
