Cabelas has an excellent selection of flies at good prices. I wish the "By the Dozen" stimulators came in the olive color in addition to the yellow.
Stimulators are one of my go-to flies. They cover all hatches and prospecting types.
I fish these in a hopper-dropper setup with good succes

Solid and hold up better than anything at my local fly shops. Imitate many different insects just adjust the size and color and go to town.

I wouldn't be without this fly in the Smokey mountains. Use it with a small dropper beadhead prince or tellico. Very well made durable fly.

Your catalogue was given to me on a visit to Palm Springs so when I got home I ordered some flies for the 1st time. I have fly fished a famous river in BC's interior (as have Hemingways decendants) since the 1960's. I had the best trout fishing in 30 years this season with your stimulator flies, limiting out daliy with large fish 15 to 19 inches. Both colors worked great but the chartreuse was just phenomenal. I ended up using all my original order of flies so placed a second order. If there is one request I would make it is that these flies become available in a number 6 size hook as I find bigger fish want bigger flies. I hope to take your flies to New Zealand with me in early 2008 to try them out on the trout there. Thanks for the very effective flies.
