The Morrish Mouse utilizes foam in its body to ensure it always floats high. Big trout and even summer steelhead can’t resist the large, easy meal it represents. Per each. Size: 4, 6.
well really didn't think the morrish mouse would work good but i am so glad i got it to try i cough a lot of steelhead to bad i could only keep one it works real good i would recommend it to everyone
I had never really considered fishing for steelhead with dry flies. I catch a lot of them on wet flies, so why bother, right? Then, last summer, things really slowed down on the Snoqualmie river, which is usually pretty reliable. After 9 days without a steelhead, I tried floating lines and surface flies, and WOW! Steelhead hit these things like "Air-Jaws" on the shark channel. The fish literally explode out of the water on these little mice patterns. When this happens to you, remember NOT to set the hook like in trout fishing. It's the hardest thing in the world to stay still, but you have to let him turn downwards first. I keep 8-10 moorish mice with me for all summer steelhead fishing now, and there is nothing like the rush of that huge fish jumping clear of the water with your fly in his mouth.
