Attwood Mini-Rigger

This Mini-Rigger Downrigger takes your line down to where fish are biting. Downrigger has 100 feet of stainless steel cable and a disc-drag brake. Retrieves over one foot with every turn. Downrigger has a 4-lb. ball, mounting base and release. Fits all Roberts rod holder bases.

It is a nice little unit for the price. I would recomend it to anyone as a first or starter rigger. You can buy better of course. But not for anywhere near this price.

If you have ever priced downriggers and equipment you know they are expensive. Here comes Attwood with a product that not only works but comes complete. I've owned mine for years and while they will not replace my $850 (each) Walker electrics they get me down where I need to be. They are light so you will need to slow down a little but they are plenty durable. A good intro into depth fishing.

I have not been able to use the units yet, but they are pretty much as described. One disappointment was the release clip. It's no more than an small alligator clip with rubber tubing over the teeth. Seems they could have provided something slightly more substantial.
