Bechhold and Son Downrigger Cable Bait Ball

This setup is sure to bring big fish in for a closer look at your bait. It’s a string of rotating baitfish-shaped flashers that attaches directly to your downrigger cable. Each UV-colored and UV-plated lure connects to the cable with a safety snap that slides up and down the cable, creating the visual impression of a school of baitfish as the lures line up and spin. You control how fast the lures spin and the extent of their travel up and down the downrigger cable. To a predator, your lure will appear as a straggler trying to keep up with the school. This system eliminates the need for a flasher on your line, letting you enjoy fighting fish without the added resistance of a flasher. Imported.

Good look in the water

i bought the five foot one and caught two Lakers in 3 hours, problem is that it is a bit inconvenient to bring the cannon ball out of the water.

the bechhold rigger cable is the best thing next to sliced bread......out fishes everything else.....i would not go salmon, or trout fishing without it.....salmon man1

Poor Design

The attachment will render the short stop function on a Cannon downrigger useless. Be prepared to manually stop the downrigger from retrieving or the "bait ball" will be jammed into boom wheel of the downrigger. Even if you stop the retrieve manually, the downrigger ball is still well below the water level and is difficult to hoist into the boat.
I nailed this on my cabin porch as a decorative ornament!
