Eureka!® Grand Manan Tent

• Straight lower walls maximize floor space
• Fiberglass frame has angled ferrules
• Breathable 68-denier polyester taffeta walls
• Fly with 1,200mm-rated polyurethane coating
Comfort of movement and spacious elegance are packed into the Grand Manan. Eureka incorporated straight lower walls in the design to maximize useable floor space. Roll-up sidewalls provide easy entry through the two D-doors and air circulation for those warm summer evenings. Full-coverage fly keeps rain and spray at bay. Dual vestibules with bottom vents keep the floor dry. Clear polyurethane windows for monitoring weather conditions. Roll-up doorways open to the left, right and in the center. Four-way high/low venting system includes four windows, two roof and two fly vents.

A fiberglass frame provides more space than regular dome tents because the Grand Manan uses angled ferrules. These angled aluminum ferrules create 16% more straight wall space and 21% more stand-up headroom. The walls are made of a breathable 68-denier polyester taffeta. The floors and fly are durable 75-denier polyester taffeta. Treated with a 1,200mm-rated polyurethane coating, the fly clears away snow and rain, while the 1,500mm-rated floor prevents moisture from seeping in. Imported.
Available:
• Grand Manan 9 – This family vacation tent sleeps up to five people. Same construction as above. A spacious 81 sq. ft. of total area. Vestibule area measures 74 sq. ft.
• Text Size: AAA

Total Perfection in any weather
Date:
I waited to write my review of this tent until I had used it several times. Now that I have had it for a little longer than 4 seasons, I can honestly say it is the best overall tent I have ever owned. I camp all 12 months of the year, snow, rain, sun, wind; we go at least once every month.
In the NW where it always rains, a great rain fly is essential. This tent has an amazing rain fly! Usually if a fly does great in the wintery conditions, its not a fun fly for better conditions. Not this one. When it rains, snows or blows the fly stays put, protects, and keeps us completely dry. When we want a little air, ventilation, or a view, this fly is adjustable so that we can have whatever we want. Almost like the perfect marriage. Well, maybe I'm going too far with that one. And because of the fly's versatility and the other features designed for ventilation variety, this tent can be vented in a bunch of different degrees. From just slightly vented to resembling a screened porch.
Anyway, as for ease of setup, its great. I admit that I own about 15 tents so I should be able to set anything up, but it really is quite simple and fast. I also like the "throw-back style of doorway awning that came on cabin tents of the 60's and 70's before the deluge of umbrella tents. Like I said, this tent has it all. What is most intriguing is the fact that for a 9X9 tent, it seems so much larger when we are in it. It has the footprint of a small tent but a floor plan of a larger one due to the cleaver shaped tent poles that allow the walls to be straight up from the floor instead of angling in sharply like most other umbrella tents. A Cabin-tent featured shelter with Umbrella-tent stability and ease of setup. Like I said, Perfection in any weather!
It is heavy, but that is due to the robust Heavy Duty materials used in it. HD poles, HD floors, HD walls, HD windows, everything is HD including the carry sack.
This is really a winner for a car-camping tent. I'm so glad that I decided to try this tent. When I was getting ready to order it, my sweet wife said "how many tents do you need?" I'm sure glad I answered "Just one more!"

Grand Manan

Have owned several Eureka tents, and have been satisfied with all of them until now. It is a great tent, plenty of room, nice vestibule, easy set up and i thought it was the perfect tent. My dissatisfaction is the windows. I used it about four times, never put it away wet, and the last time i used it the windows were were splitting as if they had dry rotted. I don't know if this is a common problem or not, and i have not contacted eureka or cabela's about the problem, other than that i would recommed the tent because the rest of the tent i was happy with.

We love this tent!
Date:
We have always had good luck with Eureka tents and bought this one as we needed a larger tent. It is easy set up, easy take down. The tent has great ventilation. We camped for about 5 days in Wisconsin in July with thunderstorms every night (and some days!) and the tent was rock solid with nary a leak and it was comfortable sleeping because of the ventilation, even in the rain. We also camped this summer in a campground we now call "Mosquito Gulch" and although we heard the mosquitos banging against the outside of the tent trying to get in, the tent stayed mosquito free! The rain fly allows so many different configurations, it works well in all types of weather (although we have not yet tried it in the snow!). We love the vestibules that give a good place to keep your shoes, etc so they are out of the weather, yet handy. All in all, another winner from Eureka!

Easy to set up
Date:
I just received my new Grand Manan 9 and prior to purchasing I read a lot of reviews. The most frequent complaint was how difficult it was to set up. To this I say “baloney”. This tent has a 9’ x 9’ base and I just assembled it (including the fly) by myself in the basement. With all the other stuff in the basement, my clear working area was no bigger then 10’ x 20”. It took me all of 10 minutes to unpack and assemble for the first time. Come on people, It’s only two poles for the tent and two for the fly.
I had no problem feeding the poles through the sleeves. not even at the bend. Once you slide both poles through, put one d-ring and pin in the end of one pole then slide the fabric back towards the other end of that same pole, flexing and bending the pole as you go. This can be done with one person easy enough. Once you start with the second pole your tent will change from flat to upright.
You might wonder why I did this in a cramped basement. It’s winter, wet and muddy outside. I don’t intend to use the tent for another 6 months. If I didn't like it or there was a problem with it (and there wasn't) I wanted to be able to return it right away and clean. I can tell you, this tent is not going back. I love it. I look forward to testing it in an Alabama windy downpour.
