Coleman's Legacy Tent has a seven-point WeatherTec™ system that guarantees to keep you dry from wet weather. You'll be covered by a 450mm polyurethane-coated 75-denier polyester fly that has fully taped seams, and a 1,000-denier polyester floor that resists wear and has welded corners and inverted seams to prevent leaks. Negatively angled windows, wings and awnings to provide shade. The tent's two-color, screen-printed fabric is made of 450mm polyurethane-coated 75-denier polyester for years of use. The patented swing-open front door has a zipper guard cuff for added storm protection. The fiberglass frame was engineered to withstand windy and stormy conditions. Self-rolling windows. Imported.
The tent is easy enough to set up and the hinging door is a great feature, but this tent leaks right through the fly....not through the seams but the actual fabric. Buy an extra tarp to cover. Another review had the the same problem.
This tent was great for our family. We have used it a couple of times since we bought it and it has held up to the weather. Every time we go camping we hit really bad weather, and every time we got wet with other tents. We stayed dry the hole time even when others were ringing out there sleeping bags we were dry. Love the door!
We purchased this tent in May 2010. The next week I took it on a 4 day trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with three other large men where it rained all day nearly everyday. In spite of the rain and humity, our gear stayed dry and we slept soundly. Considering the conditions, I was very impressed with the tent. Easy set up and performs when I need it to. Would recommend to anyone.
I'm partial to Coleman products and this tent lives up to its name. Stayed dry in South Florida cool/wet January nights. Suggest you spray it down -like any other tent- with waterproofing for extra insurance. Warning: Once you get used to the swing door; its very hard to go back to the flimsy roll up doors... very hard! Family of four with gear and blow up mattresses fit well in this tent.
