Advanced retriever training.

This is a great DVD for advanced retriever trainers. If you gone through Basics and developed some bad habits in Transition, this video can help.
Danny Farmer is one of the premeir Field Trial trainers in the country today. If your just starting out pick up his Basics video from Avery.
Hunting over a well trained retriever is a pleasure, and guys who bad mouth field trial dogs have never hunted over one and are just talking out there you know what.

For Field Trial labs!

This is focused on the person that runs labs in field trials. I actually watched this DVD at a store. I found it sorta hard to grasp. It is more of a show and tell style video. The explanations seem tough to comprehend at times as I'm unsure what Danny is talking about sometimes. A few people that were not use to the strict nature of field trial training felt the methods they used were a bit harsh (heavy heeling stick swats and sometimes high level stims). So this is not for hunters as most hunters do not need a dog as "robotic" as these displayed on this DVD. If you are into field trials this may help you but... i'm not so sure. Its very entertaining to watch but again the actual suggestions are hard to grasp at times and I'm unsure how many people are going to use this DVD and take it to heart.

gives some good insights on certain problems. Doesn't go into depth in the areas I was hoping. Is good if you are looking to train a dog for competition. Way over priced.
