Controlling two dogs in the field is as simple as purchasing this extra collar and programming it. All the features of the collar included in the SD-1850 package, including eight levels of constant and momentary stimulation, a beeper locator and rechargable NiMH battery. Beeper uses a 3-volt lithium battery. Both beeper and collar are completely waterproof.

I decided to purchase an additional collar since we have two dogs and sometimes I'll run both dogs at the same time. The Sportdog 1850 was purchased as a back-up to the current ecollars that we use. The extra collar was easy to program and I like the simplicity of the transmitter. What I don't like about the collar is the high volume of the beeper - even on low volume it is too high, in my opinion. Also, the first collar that I received would not hold a charge so it had to be replaced. Customer service was good but it would be better to have a collar that operated correctly the first time. I also need to replace the beeper on the original collar after light use in wet conditions. All in all, I'm disappointed with the reliability of the collar and accessories.

I have used other brands of collars in the past. But this is the best I have come across. I have even purchased a second collar. The Features are the best on the markert.
