I have used PetSafe radio fence for over five years on dogs from 150 lb to 8 lb. With the proper training it will keep any dog on the property. Ours covers 1 1/2 ac and has never been a problem.

Petsafe In-ground System Works for me

I have had the Petsafe in-ground invisible fence system for two years now, and everything works as well as it did when it was installed. We recently adopted another dog, and that is why we purchased this collar. It works as consistently as the first collar I got with the system which means it beeps and "corrects" at the same point in the yard as the other collar so both dogs have the same running range. The only thing with this collar is that it does not have the adjustable "correction" (shock) level as the first collar. Since I have Shelties I think the standard shock level may be excessive for it. However, it may have shortened the training time by giving such a shock. The dog seemed to learn it in three days.

When you animal/pet doesn't like to stay in the yard, this product is the answer.
I am really impressed knowing that I don't have to watch my animal every minute when they are outside.
The pre-warning sound that the system gives off when the animal gets close to the boundry is wonderful.
